Intuitous Occupancy Sensor
The sensor located on the ceiling of your suite is an integral part of an
energy conservation system. The sensor detects when the suite has been vacant
for an extended period of time and saves energy by reducing the runtime of your
heating, air conditioning and lighting systems. This sensor sends wireless
information to a controller located inside your suite - it does not transmit
occupancy information to any other system.
The facility you are in has installed this system to reduce unnecessary
energy consumption and to reduce the building's overall carbon footprint. This
conservation system will override your thermostat when you leave your guest
room, however you will have complete control of the thermostat upon your return.
